Wall hung sculpture of a Japanese Koi fish created from driftwood. Inspired by our recent trip to Japan, this piece has actual bamboo driftwood pieces collected from the shores of the island Motojinamachi, just outside of Hiroshima. We stayed there one night specifically to see Drum Tao in concert, a traditional Japanese Taiko Drumming group. Love Koi fish, we saw them everywhere but it was in Kyoto on the bridge over the moat at Nijo Castle watching and filming them for ages the inspiration came to make this piece. Tam yet again patiently enduring customs as I declare a bag of driftwood!
